Job Class Profiles

The Job Class Profiles below has been developed by the Treasury Board Secretariat from representative samples of Position Description Questionnaire’s submitted by employees in each job class.

A Job Class Profile is designed to be general summary of the work requirements of each job class, however, the profile may not include each specific duty an individual may perform in their job. The distinction between a Job Class Profile and a Position Description Questionnaire that a Job Class Profile is a generic description of a job class, while a Position Description Questionnaire’s is a description of the specific duties of a specific position.

If you feel the description in your job class profile is not a general summary of your specific position, you may request a classification review by submitting a Position Description Questionnaire.
