A full 3.2% Sodium Citrate tube mixed thoroughly and delivered to the lab within 1 hour of collection. Samples should be transported non-refrigerated at 15-22 deg C. If testing is not completed within 4 hrs, platelet-poor plasma should be removed and frozen at -20 deg C or below for up to 2 weeks or -70 deg C or below for up to 6 months. .

Incorrect collection tube, underfilled collection tube, hemolyzed/clotted sample, sample > 4 hours old.
