- Special Collection / Transport / Processing Requirements
Separate plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. If not tested immediately on site, transfer 2 mL plasma to a plastic standard transport tube and freeze within 4 hours of collection.
- Criteria for Rejection
Whole blood sample, samples collected in non-EDTA tube. Held at room temperature for more than 4 hours, held at 2-8 C for more than 24 hours, and hemolyzed. Avoid more than 3 freeze/thaw cycles.
