Description and Primary Use

Special Patient Preparation

Medications that stimulate secretion of neuroendocrine cells can lead to significant elevations of chromogranin A. Discontinue proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) for 2 weeks prior to testing. H2-receptor antagonists can be used at modest doses.
