24 hour urine collection bottle should contain 25 ml of 50 % Acetic Acid as preservative. Another acceptable preservative is 10 g of boric acid or no preservative if sample kept refrigerated. Aliquot 2 samples of roughly 10 ml each and freeze at -20oC as soon as possible. Enter Start and End Dates & Times of urine collection and total urine volume into LIS.
