Initial IRT is taken at least after 24hrs of age. If 2nd IRT is required, it should be taken between 11 and 19 days of patient age. Must use Whatman # 903 Filter Paper soaked through with whole blood.
- Criteria for Rejection
Based on specimen condition and stability, (e.g. samples considered unsuitable are blood not soaked through filter paper, filter paper is destroyed or there is overlaying of blood).
