A low tryptophan diet is recommended for 48h prior to and during collection. During this period, patient must abstain from avocados, bananas, coffee, plums, pineapples, tomatoes, walnuts, hickory nut, mollusks, eggplant and medications such as aspirin, corticotropins, MAO inhibitors, phenacetin, catecholamines, reserpine and nicotine.
