Description and Primary Use
Theophylline Is used in treatment of bronchospasm associated with brochial asthma, chronic bronchitis and pulmonary emphysema. Levels are used in diagnosis and treatment of theophylline overdose or in monitoring levels to help ensure appropriate therapy.

Trough: Just before next dose.  2hr post-dose for immediate release format                                       4hr post-dose for twice daily release format.                               10hr post dose for once daily slow release format.
