If you sell a vehicle, return your vehicle from lease, write off, or recycle/scrap your vehicle, you must notify Motor Registration within 10 days that you no longer own it. The vehicle will be removed from your record.

A Notice of Sale (or change of ownership) relieves the original owner/seller of any further legal responsibilities for the vehicle, such as tickets, impound fees, etc.

Notification of Sale should be submitted using MyGovNL or you can send us a copy of your completed notice, found on the reverse of the Vehicle Registration Document.
