A street address must be provided.
If your mailing address is different than your street address, please provide both.
You will need:
Any of these documents* will be accepted as proof of street address:
- Utility bills no older than two months (e.g. phone, internet/cable, electricity)
- Bank statements/void cheque (with address)
- Mortgage documents
- Personal taxes (filed in the previous year)
- Property tax bill
- Residential lease/rental agreement (must be completed and signed by landlord and tenant)
- Employment Insurance or Income Support Program documents
- Employment confirmation or pay stub
- Canada Child Benefit (CCB) documents
*Must contain your full name and address
Once your address is changed in the Motor Registration Division system, a new driver’s licence/photo ID card and vehicle registration (if applicable) will be mailed to you. This should take about 10 business days.
