You can make an appointment to have a peeling plate replaced.

The registered owner of the vehicle must present the plate and the vehicle registration. Staff will confirm the registered owner’s identity and the peeling plate will be replaced free of charge.

A plate is peeling when the protective film has detached from the plate, causing it to become illegible or unreadable. Plates must be plainly visible and clearly legible. Displaying an illegible licence plate could cost you up to $130 in fines and fees.
