NLHC is a crown corporation whose mandate is to develop and administer housing assistance policy and programs for the benefit of low to moderate income households throughout the province. The Corporation is a Category One entity.
Accessibility Standards Advisory Board
The Accessibility Standards Advisory Board (ASAB) is responsible for advising and making recommendations to the Minister Responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities, regarding the establishment and content of accessibility standards and time periods for implementation. ASAB is a Category 3 entity.
Income and Employment Support Appeal Board
The Income and Employment Support Appeal Board (IESAB) is an independent, arm’s-length body authorized to hear appeals on decisions regarding Income Support, as well as eligibility for employment supports funded by the Provincial Government. IESAB is a Category 3 entity.

- Provincial Advisory Council for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (disbanded upon proclamation of the Accessibility Act)
The Provincial Advisory Council for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities advised the Minister Responsible for the Status of Persons with Disabilities on current issues and ways to make things better. This Council was a Category 3 entity and was made up of 12 to 18 people with disability related experiences and knowledge.Provincial Advisory Council for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities
