- The Dealer Web is a web-based portal which allows dealers and their designated employees to remit vehicle sales/transfer details to MRD. Users have individual, password protected accounts.

Online Dealer Web Portal Enhancements
The following enhancements to the Dealer Web application will allow for increased efficiency over a multi-phased approach, beginning in June 2023. The design of the new system will allow our Dealer representatives to spend time Auditing in the Dealerships and through document submissions requests. Some of the changes include, but are not limited to:
- All approved Automobile Dealers will be required to use the online Dealer Web
- Payments will have to be paid electronically (Preauthorized Debit/ePayment)
- Store and maintain plate inventory in the Dealer Web
- Allowance for registration of most vehicles up to 62,500kgs using dealer web (exceptions include ambulance, farm equipment, school buses, government vehicles, taxi);
- Allow dealers to perform plate replacements and request refunds;
- Fees outstanding cannot exceed the security (bond) tier;
- Outstanding fines will be collected on March 21steach year;
- Annual fee will be collected electronically on March 21st each year;
- All dealers will be required to use the dealer web to complete vehicle transactions, including: first time registration for new, used (out of province) or imported vehicles, transfer of ownership for NL registered vehicles, plate replacements, returning a plate for refund, and regenerating temporary permits;
- Dealers can manage their own user access (including two security levels: financial and registration);
- Manual applications will not be accepted;
- Daily web batches will have to be paid in full, refunds for errors will have to be manually requested;
- Inventory listing will be available electronically;
- Option to reprint temporary registration;
- Plates must be returned within 14 days to one of the 3 offices after a plate replacement or refund request;
- Dealers must pay outstanding balances within 10 days;
- Dealers cannot transfer ownership of a vehicle that is not owned by them;
- Vehicles traded will be automatically registered to the dealer; formally traded status; and
- Dealers will not submit documents. Documents will be retained for audit purposes.
