Capital works encompasses a wide range of municipal infrastructure and is necessary to build on the long-term economic growth of communities, allowing them to deliver strong municipal services and meet infrastructure needs. Typical projects may include water and wastewater treatment, roads, and recreational facilities.

MI supports Local Governments through provincial and federal Cost Shared Funding Programs. Current programs include:

  • Municipal Capital Works (MCW) – Provincial
  • Multi-Year Capital Works (MYCW) – Provincial
