Prospective Newcomer Information Sessions on the Atlantic Immigration Program in Newfoundland and Labrador

On January 1, 2022, the Atlantic Immigration Program replaced the pilot program, which had been in place since 2017.

This program has been successful in supporting employers in Newfoundland and Labrador in fulfilling their workforce needs. It also contributed to immigrant retention, with nearly 85 per cent of principal applicants choosing to remain in Newfoundland and Labrador.

In an effort to assist, the employer community gain a better understanding of the new program, the Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) has arranged a series of information sessions, beginning on January 11, 2022. The OIM will conduct four information sessions for employers – two during the daytime hours, and two during the evening hours.

We encourage you to register for the sessions using the links below at your earliest convenience, in order to be able to attend the session. The last date for register for each session has been noted next to each link.

Please note that these sessions are intended for prospective newcomers to Newfoundland and Labrador only – if you are not considering Newfoundland and Labrador as your province of destination in Canada, please do not register for these sessions, as there are limited spaces available.
