A new Early Learning and Child Care Quality Enhancement Program is now open to all regulated child care across the province. The program is designed to enhance the quality of regulated child care through consultant services and grant support.

Purpose
The aim of the program is to collaboratively create opportunities to strengthen the sector’s capacity to enhance the quality of early learning and child care for all children participating in the regulated child care services sector.
Child Care Consultants
Dedicated Child Care Consultants (Quality) will work with, and provide consultation to, all regulated child care services that wish to participate. Consultation services include, but are not limited to:
- access to tools for self-reflection;
- planning;
- program quality;
- child development;
- learning processes;
- facilitating access to services; and
- mentorship.
Other areas for consideration are:
- professional learning opportunities; and
- structural aspects of the learning environment that enhance the quality of learning and child care.
