What is the Grant?
The Accessibility Grant helps remove and prevent barriers so people with disabilities can:
- Take part in community life
- Access services and information
- Be included and supported
The grant supports:
- Nothing Without Us, About Us, this means people with disabilities are included in decisions that affect them
- The Accessibility Act
- The provincial government’s commitment to improve accessibility for people with disabilities

Who can Apply?
Groups applying must be based in Newfoundland and Labrador. You can apply if you are:
- A non‑profit organization (for example: community groups, disability groups, churches, or social enterprises)
- A Municipality or Local Service District (local areas without a town council)
- An Indigenous government or organization
How Much Funding You Can Get:
- The maximum amount you can ask for is $25,000.
- We focus first on projects that:
- Build skills, knowledge, systems, or tools
- Create change that lasts over time

How to Apply:
What to Include in Your Application
Your application must explain:
- What your organization does in the community
- The title of your project
- What your project will do
- All expected costs
- Price quotes or cost estimates from contractors or service providers
- What will change or improve because of your project
Applying with Partners:
- Two or more groups can apply together using one application.
- If you apply with partners, you must include:
- Information about each partner
- How you will work together
- What each partner will do in the project
