Full-Time Students

If you are a resident of Newfoundland and Labrador, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance while studying full-time at a designated post-secondary institution.

The following supports are in effect for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

Canada Student Grants (CSG):

  • Canada Student Loan up to $300 per week of study
  • CSG for Full-time Students up to $4,200 per standard 8-month academic year
  • CSG for Students with Disabilities of $2,800 per academic year
  • CSG for Full-time Students with Dependents up to a maximum of $280 per dependent during each month of confirmed enrolment in full-time studies

Provincial Student Financial Assistance:

  • Provincial student grants up to a maximum of $100 per week of study.
  • Provincial student loans up to a maximum of $100 per week of study.
  • Memorial University Tuition Relief Grant of up to $345 per course for qualifying students

Students who requested/received assistance for the previous two semesters (fall and winter) and require assistance for a third semester (spring/summer) within the same academic year must:

Note: If your summer study period starts on August 1, 2023 or later, please submit a new 2023-24 online application.
