The Forest Service releases a number of projects to public tender each year.

Examples of projects include:

• bridge construction;
• resource road construction;
• tree planting;
• site preparation (scarification) for tree planting;
• pre-commercial thinning of young forests; and
• site clearing.

All material and services purchased by the Department must go through the regular tendering process of Government.

Timber Sale Agreement

Timber Sale Agreements (TSA) are contractual agreements between government and a registered company, for the harvest and extraction of timber from forested parcels of Crown land. Any registered business that qualifies and has an interest in harvesting these areas may bid in an open and fair, competitive bidding process.
