Public Legal Information

Public Legal Information Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PLIAN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Newfoundlanders and Labradorians about the law.

They provide public legal education and information services with the intent of increasing access to justice.

Background

PLIAN is the Newfoundland and Labrador component of Public Legal Education Association of Canada (PLEAC). This national association is a network of legal education societies.

PLIAN is funded by the Department of Justice Canada, the Law Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Department of Justice and Public Safety Newfoundland and Labrador.
