Fire and Emergency Services-Newfoundland and Labrador (FES-NL) is a newly established Agency which combines the roles and mandates of the Fire Commissioner’s Office and the former Emergency Measures Organization with Executive, policy, information management, business continuity and financial staff.

The mandate of the Agency is to implement an emergency management strategy designed to develop and maintain a robust emergency management system in the province, in collaboration with agency partners and stakeholders, in planning against, preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies, disasters, and fires.
