The Provincial Government will reduce work hours by 30 minutes per day during the summer months in the work areas where they have traditionally been granted.

Summer Hours are effective from Monday, June 12, 2023, to Friday, September 8, 2023, inclusive, subject to operational requirements. Lunch breaks are to be scheduled between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

For clarification, when employees use leave during the period when summer hours have been approved, they are required to take the number of hours in their standard workday and not the number of hours in their standard workday less one-half hour.
