Evaluation and Accountability Division

  • is responsible for the implementation of the Accountability Framework, which applies to all departments, public bodies, and any other organization in receipt of public funds.
  • develops, implements, and enforces accountability requirements of the Framework.
  • provides leadership, support, and strategic advice to ensure departmental initiatives, including Treasury Board and Cabinet submissions, highlight considerations of key governance, accountability, evidence-informed decision-making, and evaluation principles.
  • supports / leads key government-wide, horizontal transformation initiatives with the goal to improve outcomes, ensure value-for-money for our programs and services, and to enhance oversight where needed.
