Classification Review Process

Employees who wish to have their classifications reviewed under the Job Evaluation System are able to do so by submitting a Position Description Questionnaire.

Employees can use the Microsoft Word version of the Position Description Questionnaire or complete and submit the Position Description Questionnaire online. Please follow the guidelines below.

Position Description Questionnaire

To access the Position Description Questionnaire you will need a User-ID as well as a user account.

You can create your own account by following the instructions on the Position Description Questionnaire login screen. This will create the basic employee account.

Before you begin the Questionnaire, and in order for you to submit your reclassification request, you must identify your supervisor and permanent department head, as they will require access to the Position Description Questionnaire system to accept your request.

If you require access as a Supervisor, HR Representative or Permanent Head/Designate, you will need to first create an account and then contact the Treasury Board Secretariat at the email found below to have the correct role assigned to your account.

Completing the Position Description Questionnaire

Videos have been created to help you with completing the Position Description Questionnaire.  These include a series of YouTube videos and a Position Description Questionnaire Training Guide.

It is recommended that you reference the applicable video and/or section of the training guide before you complete each section of the questionnaire.

Effective Dates of Classification Decisions

The effective date of classification is the date of submission of fully completed Position Description Questionnaire to the Treasury Board Secretariat.
