“The home of Margaret Ryan, a 62 year old widow, was washed from its foundation in Brakes Cove, and smashed against a hillside. The damage was caused when snow atop the hill melted rapidly in Monday’s high temperatures, sending water, mud and snow cascading down the hill. Temperatures rose to 60 degrees F”.
