The Innovation start-up ecosystem involves partners from industry, academia, community and governments focused on assisting new entrepreneurs to strategically build their businesses faster and more effectively. Start-up businesses, particularly in high growth sectors, such as technology, play a key role in economic development and diversification for Newfoundland and Labrador. Through its staff and programs IET, works collaboratively with all partners in the ecosystem to encourage a more connected, innovative, and entrepreneurial culture throughout the province.
Key start-up organizations active in the Newfoundland and Labrador ecosystem include Incubators, Accelerators and other entrepreneurial support organizations. There are also many other partners including maker spaces, co-working spaces, academic institutions, and funding organizations.
