A small landslide occurred along coastal cliffs south of the town of Daniel’s Harbour, approximately 2 km south of the major landslides in 2006 and 2007. It impacted a stretch of cliff approximately 75 long, lying 20-30 m south of the motel. About 2 m was lost from the cliff edge. Mayor Stephen Carey when interviewed suggested that construction of the new by-pass road (to avoid the 2007 landslide area) contributed to the landslide by diverting drainage to this area.
