The province’s Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology may, from time to time, issue a Call for Postings inviting persons to identify lands they would prefer to see made available for competitive bidding. These suggestions could form the basis of a subsequent Request for Bids. Section 16 of the Newfoundland and Labrador Petroleum Regulations provides the minister with the legislative authority to proceed with these Calls for Posting and Requests for Bids.
