All public schools in Newfoundland and Labrador are funded by the Department of Education. English schools are operated by the Department of Education, Education Operations Branch as NLSchools (with regional offices in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Corner Brook, Gander and St. John’s) and French schools are operated by the Conseil Scolaire Francophone, guided by trustees.
