Travel Trade Program

Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism works with pre-qualified travel trade partners, these include tour operators, tour wholesalers, packaged travel companies including group tour and Foreign/Fully-Independent Travellers (FIT), meetings & conventions, cruise, affinity/special interest groups including enrichment/educational  and adventure travel, and key travel influencers to increase tourism business revenues throughout the province.

The Travel Trade Program extends the Newfoundland and Labrador brand through an integrated marketing program implemented through strategic partnership initiatives using the travel trade network.   The program is designed to increase overall tourism visitation, frequency and variety of tourism programs through the development of new travel packages and itineraries.  The travel trade team attends trade shows, marketplaces and consumer shows meeting one on one with key travel trade partners to create new business opportunities and provide  familiarization tours/site inspections  and Joint Marketing Agreements (JMA) with strategic travel trade partners to grow the tourism economy.
