The Arts and Heritage Division is responsible for supporting the preservation, management, development, and promotion of arts and heritage across Newfoundland and Labrador. This includes:

• Operation and maintenance of the Provincial Historic Sites network;
• Operation of the Provincial Archaeology Office;
• Funding and advisory support to the arts and heritage sectors;
• Arts and Letter Awards;
• Community cultural event funding; and
• First World War Commemoration.

The Division is guided by the Historic Resources Act, the Status of the Artists Act, and the Cultural Action Plan 2019-2024.
