In June 2026, there were 3,775 new motor vehicles sold in Newfoundland and Labrador, an increase of 11.4% (or 386 units) compared with June 2025. The total value of sales increased by 15.1% compared with June 2025.
The average price of new motor vehicles sold in the province stood at $50,073 in June 2026, an increase of 3.3% compared with June 2025. Newfoundland and Labrador had the second-lowest average new motor vehicle price among provinces in June 2026, ahead of Prince Edward Island ($47,254)
On a year-to-date basis, the number of new motor vehicles sold in Newfoundland and Labrador decreased by 7.5% compared with January-June 2025, and the value of sales decreased by 3.2%.
At the national level, the number of sales increased by 7.3% compared with June 2025, while the value of sales increased by 9.1%. The average price increased by 1.7% to $56,239. On a year-to-date basis, the number of sales for Canada decreased by 2.3% compared with January-June 2025, and the value of sales increased by 0.3%.
