Effective 12:01 a.m., April 15, 2016, the Progressive Family Growth Program and the Parental Support Benefit (collectively known as the provincial Parental Benefits program) have been eliminated.
Births and placements for adoption which took place on or after April 15, 2016 will not be eligible for either benefit.
Eligible births and placements for adoption which took place on or before April 14, 2016 will remain eligible for both benefits in full. The deadline for submitting an application is 3 years after the baby is born, or in the case of adoption, the child has been placed with you. To apply for benefits related to births or adoptions on or before April 14, 2016, please contact the Tax Administration Division at 1-877-729-6376.
