Job Vacancy Assessment applications that result in the issuance of a positive JVA determination will remain valid for a period of two years from the date the approval is issued.

The Department of Immigration, Population Growth & Skills has the right to renege a positive JVA letter, if labour market factors and statistical information indicate a change in the local labour market in which the position is located, or if the employer is found to have violated workplace health and safety standards, or the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and/or Regulations.

Employers who may have hired workers through the NLPNP following an approved JVA within the two-year period of their approval may, upon request, be required to provide a status update on any international workers they may have hired through the JVA process. OIM may require such confirmation for approved employers seeking to hire additional workers within the two year period.
