Project Description:

The proponent is proposing to replace the deteriorated bridge that crosses Hughes Brook at kilometer 8 along Route 440. The existing bridge would be closed, demolished and removed such that no significant debris enters the river. The new bridge would measure approximately 24 metres in length and 12 metres in width. A temporary diversion would be constructed parallel to and downstream of the existing bridge and would be removed once the new bridge is open to traffic.

  • June 18, 2021 – Deadline for public comments.
  • June 26, 2021 – The Minister’s Decision is due.
  • July 21, 2021 – The Minister announced that the project is released.
