In 2005, the Department hosted its first Wastewater Conference in St. John’s, NL. The workshop was developed to provide municipal wastewater system operators with technical information on the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and treatment systems. Experts from across the country, including local representatives, participated by presenting on various wastewater related issues.
