Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct a cottage access road of approximately 700 m from an existing exploration road to provide vehicle access to an existing cottage. The route is accessed from the Walsh River cottage road, follows an existing exploration road for approximately 350 m with the remaining 700 m constructed on an old skidder/ATV trail. The route will run parallel to the Ironstone River. The right-of-way will be approximately 9 m wide with a travelling surface of approximately 6 m. Construction is planned for the spring of 2002 and is expected to take approximately 2 days to complete.

• January 31, 2002 – The undertaking was registered.
• March 22, 2002 – The Minister announced that the undertaking was released from environmental assessment.
