Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct a one quarter (1/4) mile oval snowmobile race track at Garden Hill, near Cape St. George on the Port Au Port Peninsula. The proposed snowmobile race track is planned to be located adjacent to the proponents existing hotel and club and utilize the parking lot facilities of these two establishments. Also, proposed at the rear of the facility is a sliding/tube park.

• November 13, 2002 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 19, 2002 – Public comments were due.
• December 20, 2002 – The Minister announced that the undertaking was released from further environmental assessment.
