Project Description:

The proponent intends to include an additional 130 hectare area in the southeast corner of Forest Management District 16 for harvesting in the Kings Brook area, located approximately 50 kilometres southwest of the community of South Brook, Green Bay. This Amendment would enable the harvesting of 10,000 cubic metres of softwood sawlog and pulpwood requiring 1.5 kilometres of operational road. Annually until March 2007, up to 4,000 cubic metres will be harvested from mature and overmature stands.

• August 29, 2003 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 17, 2003 – The Minister announced that the undertaking is conditionally released from further environmental assessment.
