Project Description:

The proponent proposes to build a 1 kilometre (approx.) All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trail to facilitate year round access to a remote cabin on Barachois River, northeast of J.T. Cheeseman Provincial Park boundary, Cape Ray in Southwestern Newfoundland. The remote cottage is located approximately 7 kilometres from the mouth of Barachois River and the proponent plans to utilize existing ATV trails to access the area and start construction of new trail.

• October 31, 2003 – The undertaking was registered.
• December 15, 2003 – Public comments are due.
• December 19, 2003 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
