Project Description:
The proponent plans to expand the Humber Valley (four season) Resort located on the west side of the Lower Humber River and Deer Lake in Western Newfoundland. The proposed expansion will include an additional 700 chalets on 1 to 3 acre lots, 18 hole golf course and associated infrastructure adjacent to the original development. The resort expansion will encompass an additional 2,250 hectare area (with 830 hectares for proposed development and 1,420 hectares as a buffer zone).
- December 24, 2003 – The undertaking was registered.
- February 2, 2004 – Public comments are due.
- March 3, 2004 – The Minister released the undertaking from further environmental assessment subject to conditions.
