Project Description:
The proponent plans to access additional sawlog and pulpwood timber (58.5 hectares total) in both the Country Road (9.1 hectares) located near Ten Mile Lake and Penny’s Pond (49.4 hectares) Operating Areas in Forest Management District 18, which covers the northern half of the Great Northern Peninsula. This Amendment would enable the harvesting of approximately 4,300 cubic metres of wood and is planned for winter harvesting.
- February 4, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
- March 11 2004 – Public comments are due.
- March 30, 2004 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
