Project Description:

The proponent proposes to operate a dry sodium hydrosulfite bin filling or dissolving operation in Pasadena. The product will be supplied to the paper mills. Vimax Industries will import the dry sodium hydrosulfite in drums or ocean-going bulk bins. The facility will be located at the Annex Building at the Venture Centre on Stentaford Avenue in Pasadena. The building will be shared with Pardy’s Waste Management. Startup is tentatively scheduled for this summer.

• June 2, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
• July 8, 2004 – Public comments are due.
• July 16, 2004 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• January 13, 2006 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
