Project Description:

The proponent proposes to construct an extension to an existing 7.2 kV standard distribution line for a distance of eight kilometres to provide service to the Moliak communications tower at Rigolet, Labrador. The line extension will allow the replacement of diesel generators that now supply power to the site. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin this fall and will be carried out over a four week period.

• August 9, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
• September 15, 2004 – Public comments are due.
• September 28, 2004 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
