Proponent: Town of Norman’s Cove-Long Cove
Summary of Environmental Assessment Process
Project Description:
The proponent proposes to install a new water supply for the Town of Norman’s Cove-Long Cove and construct a 2.6 kilometre access road to the proposed chlorination building, dam and intake pipe location. The access road will start approximately 250 metres west of the last residence in Long Cove, running to John Newhooks Pond and be a 4 metre wide class ‘A’ topped gravel road within a 15 metre right-of-way. The water supply transmission pipeline will follow the routing of the access road.
