Project Description:

The proponent proposes to establish a salvage yard located on Route 340 at Embree, Notre Dame Bay. The salvage yard will be primarily for, but not limited to, dismantling large trucks, trailers and other vehicles. The site will contain a small office building, garage, secure compound, and storage tanks for oil, antifreeze and fuel. The land is proposed to be cleared within 3 months of release from Environmental Assessment.

• December 9, 2004 – The undertaking was registered.
• January 17, 2005 – Public comments are due.
• January 21, 2005 – The Minister released the project from further environmental assessment.
