Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proponent proposes to harvest 17,100 cubic metres of mature timber, comprising approximately 195 hectares between Lloyds River and Tulks Brook at the southwest end of Red Indian Lake in Forest Management District 13. Approximately 2.8 kilometres of forest access roads are proposed to be constructed. Upon receipt of proper approvals, operations are scheduled to begin during the summer/fall of 2005.

  • May 26, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
  • June 30, 2005 – Public comments are due.
  • May 19, 2006 – The Minister releases the project from further environmental assessment subject to conditions.
