Project Description:

The proponent plans to build a seal and ground fish processing plant in Fleur de Lys. The proposed undertaking will be designed to process raw seals and fish oils. Plans include construction of a plant building (19 metres by 23 metres), marine oil storage area, parking lot and storage yard. Construction is planned to start upon completion of the environmental assessment review and receiving all approvals.

• June 30, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
• August 4, 2005 – Public comments are due.
• August 14, 2005 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• August 18, 2005 – the Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
