Project Description:

The proponent plans to establish a mussel processing facility at Griquet Harbour in the community of St. Lunaire-Griquet on the Great Northern Peninsula. The proposed undertaking will utilize an existing 10.2 metre by 9.9 metre building for the installation of equipment to declump, grade and debyss mussels for packing and shipping to customers for the fresh/live market.

• September 14, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
• October 20, 2005 – Public comments are due.
• October 29, 2005 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 4, 2005 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review.
