Project Description:

The proponent proposes a snowmobile drag racing track in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, parallel to Aspen Drive. The snowmobile race track will be approximately 4.5 hectares in area and will include a 3.2 hectare grubbed parking lot and an upgraded access road 183 metres in length.

• October 3, 2005 – The undertaking was registered.
• November 10, 2005 – Public comments are due.
• November 17, 2005 – The Minister’s decision is due.
• November 18, 2005 – The Minister announced the project has been released from further environmental assessment review, subject to conditions.
